For many years, Stone Brook Academy has stood as a safe place for Gifted teenagers to come for protection from the hardships of life among normal humans. Of course, the purpose of the academy is kept hidden, and the people living in the town around it have spent all these years thinking that it is just a normal boarding school. At least, most of them have.
The students of Stone Brook have just returned to school, but their beloved school didn't fare so well over the summer. The rooms are trashed, the walls are covered in graffiti, and the front walk is thick with spray-painted slurs against Gifteds. As the school year progresses, however, the students will soon find that it wasn't a one-time attack.
